HENDERSON, Nev. (February 5, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team has increasingly put together strong performances over the past few weeks, with the Lady Coyotes posting yet another impressive win on Saturday.
CSN rolled to a 91-76 victory over Colorado Northwestern, dominating to close a two-game homestand inside the CSN Sports Center with a perfect mark. Southern Nevada is now 12-14 overall and 7-7 in Scenic West play with the victory.
It was Colorado Northwestern who took a first-quarter lead, posting a 22-20 advantage prior to CSN outscoring the Lady Spartans by a 30-13 margin in the second quarter. Southern Nevada outscored CNCC 51-25 in the middle quarters of the game, holding the Lady Spartans to just 30.8 percent shooting for the game.
Samantha Greene posted a highlight performance, finishing with 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting.
Destiny Brown had a double-double of 19 points and 21 rebounds, while
Kayla Javillo also scored 10 points.
Sharmayne Finley and
Ayauna Scott both finished with 10 points each.
Southern Nevada will be on the road next week, traveling to play at Community Christian on Tuesday. CSN will play at USU Eastern on Saturday.
