NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (February 5, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team provided an exclamation point Saturday to end a week of Scenic West Athletic Conference home games.
Playing host to Colorado Northwestern, the Coyotes moved to 6-8 in Scenic West play with a 74-67 win over CNCC, finishing a two-game homestand at the CSN Sports Center with a mark of 2-0. Southern Nevada is now 12-14 overall with the win.
In a game that featured eight lead changes, neither CSN or CNCC ever led by more than nine points as the two teams were tied at halftime, 33-33. Southern Nevada's physicality is what made the difference in the game, as the Coyotes made more free throws (17-of-25) than Colorado Northwestern attempted (5-of-8).
CSN had a pair of players earn double-doubles in the close win, with the performance of the game coming courtesy of
Darren Jones. Jones posted 34 points and 10 rebounds in the win, with
Dominique Ford finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Terrance Marigney scored 7 points and 13 rebounds in the win.
The Coyotes will travel to play at Community Christian on Tuesday.
