Box Score HENDERSON, Nev. (March 11, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Softball program opened a Scenic West Athletic Conference series in difficult fashion Friday, falling in a doubleheader.
 
CSN was swept in a Friday doubleheader at Southern Idaho, falling by scores of 11-2 and 7-0. The losses drop the Lady Coyotes to 7-9 overall, alongside a mark of 4-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games.
 
Southern Nevada and Southern Idaho will battle in another doubleheader Saturday.
 
Southern Idaho 11, Southern Nevada 2: CSI scored early-and-often in a loss.
 
Jocelyn Shupp hit an RBI double in the fourth inning to score Caitlin Covington, while Taylor Hendricks hit an RBI single later in the inning. Covington went 2-of-3 in the game, while Liliana Gutierrez went 2-of-2.
 
Amber Triviso earned the loss in the circle, finishing with a trio of strikeouts. 
 
Southern Idaho 7, Southern Nevada 0: CSN struggled offensively in the loss, posting just a single hit in the loss.
 
Caitlin Covington posted the lone hit, going just 1-of-3. Serenity Jackson finished with the loss in the circle, posting a pair of strikeouts in the loss.
