HENDERSON, Nev. (March 17, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Baseball team flexed its muscles Friday, earning a doubleheader sweep over a Scenic West Athletic Conference foe.
CSN posted victories of 7-6 and 5-1 over Community Christian College at Morse Stadium, moving to 3-0 in the series. The victories move the Coyotes to 14-12 overall and 6-5 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Southern Nevada and Community Christian will close the series on Saturday, playing at 11:00 a.m.

A two-run double by
Mayze Mosher in the fifth inning lifted the Coyotes to a 6-5 lead, a lead they would never relinquish after a
Zach Culver RBI single later in the frame. Both players had RBI hits earlier in the game, with Mosher hitting an RBI single in the first inning and Culver hitting an RBI triple in the fourth inning.
Both Mosher and Culver went 2-of-3, with Mosher posting a trio of RBI's.
Josh Johnson earned the pitching win, throwing 2.1 innings of relief and finishing with four strikeouts.
Southern Nevada 5, Community Christian 1: Opportune plays helped CSN to the doubleheader sweep Friday.
CSN scored an unearned run on a throwing error in the first inning, then added a
Zach Culver RBI single later in the frame to take an early 2-0 lead. The Coyotes then scored on three wild pitches in the fifth inning.
Austin Cates earned the pitching win, throwing 5.2 innings of one-run ball that also saw CSN post eight strikeouts.
