HENDERSON, Nev. (March 19, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Baseball team closed out a series sweep of Community Christian College on Saturday.
 
CSN posted a 10-0 win over Community Christian to earn its second series victory of the Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule, moving to 7-1 over the last two weekends of league play. The Coyotes are now 15-12 overall and 7-5 in Scenic West play.
 
Southern Nevada posted six runs in the first inning alone, keyed on a three-run home run by Fabian Torres. Zach Culver and Austin Cates also added RBI singles in the frame, while Bradley Stone posted an RBI groundout. CSN picked up another run in the second inning on a Gavin Amelburu RBI single. Ikaika Ganancial added a two-run triple in the sixth inning, ending the contest in a run-rule decision.
 
Culver and Ganancial were both 2-of-2 in the contest, with Torres leading the way with a trio of RBI's. Jesus Gonzalez earned the pitching win, throwing three innings of one-hit ball while posting three strikeouts. 
 
Southern Nevada will travel to play a four-game series at Colorado Northwestern next weekend.
