TWIN FALLS, ID. (April 14, 2022) – A four-game Scenic West Athletic Conference road series started slow for the College of Southern Nevada Baseball team.
CSN dropped a 3-2 game at the College of Southern Idaho, falling to 3-2 on the season against the Golden Eagles. Southern Nevada is now 22-18 overall and 14-11 in Scenic West games after the loss.
In an extra-innings showdown, it was Southern Idaho who took a 2-0 lead after adding solo home runs in the sixth and seventh innings. CSN was down to its final frame, prior to Coyotes pinch hitter
Zachary Czerniawski hitting a two-run home run to tie the score and send the game to extra innings. Unfortunately, CSI powered to the win in the 10
th inning on a CSN wild pitch.
Southern Nevada mustered just three hits in the loss. Coyotes starting pitcher
Josh Johnson had no decision in six innings, allowing one run with five strikeouts.
CSN will play Southern Idaho in a doubleheader Friday.
