TAYLORSVILLE, UT. (April 29, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Softball team had a tough Friday afternoon in northern Utah.
CSN was swept in a doubleheader at Salt Lake Community College, falling in decisions of 8-0 and 3-1. The losses drop the Lady Coyotes to 19-25 overall and 16-18 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games.
Southern Nevada and Salt Lake will play another doubleheader on Saturday.
Salt Lake 8, Southern Nevada 0: Offense was limited for CSN in a run-rule loss.
The Lady Coyotes posted just three hits in a run-rule loss to the Coyotes.
Serenity Jackson earned the pitching loss.
Salt Lake 3, Southern Nevada 1: A close game and an early CSN lead didn't hold up in a late loss.
It was Southern Nevada who scored first, taking a 1-0 lead after
Hannah Mearideth had an RBI fielder's choice in the fourth inning to score
Liliana Gutierrez. SLCC quickly responeded though, then Brooklyn Pintar hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk-off.
CSN had seven hits in the loss.
