HENDERSON, Nev. (April 30, 2022) – The mood of the College of Southern Nevada Baseball team can be adequately fit in one word Saturday – encouraged.
CSN finished off a four-game sweep of Colorado Northwestern at Morse Stadium, earning a 6-3 win on a day where the Coyotes celebrated their graduating sophomores. The victory also lifted Southern Nevada to 31-20 overall and 23-13 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games.
CSN posted three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a lead it would never relinquish, led by
Austin Cates hitting an RBI single and
Trey Frahm hitting an RBI double.
John-Howard Bobo hit an RBI single in the eighth inning.
The Coyotes had four players with multi-hit games, with
Zach Culver going 2-of-3.
Austin Cates earned a pitching win, throwing two innings in relief.
Izzy Gutierrez posted five strikeouts in a pair of innings.
Southern Nevada will close the 2022 regular season at USU Eastern next weekend.
