HENDERSON, Nev. (April 9, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Baseball team dropped a Scenic West Athletic Conference series finale on Saturday.
CSN dropped a 6-2 game to No. 13 Salt Lake, falling to 1-3 in the series against the Bruins. Southern Nevada is now 22-17 overall and 14-10 in Scenic West games.
It was the Coyotes who took an early lead on a
Fabian Torres RBI bunt, prior to Salt Lake tying the game in the third inning.
Jackson Castillo hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to give CSN the lead back but it did not last as SLCC posted five unanswered runs to earn the win.
Castillo went 2-of-4 in the game.
Jesus Gonzalez took the pitching loss.
Southern Nevada will travel to play a four-game series at Southern Idaho next weekend.
