HENDERSON, Nev. (May 12, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Baseball team lost its opening game in the Region 18 tournament in Salt Lake Thursday.
CSN lost an 8-6 game to Southern Idaho, falling after holding a multi-run lead after the sixth inning. The Coyotes moved to 35-21 overall with the win.
In a game that started slow offensively,
Trey Frahm hit an RBI double in the fifth inning to help the Coyotes to their first lead. Zachary Culver also scored a run on a passed ball in the inning to help the Coyotes to a 2-0 advantage. Unfortunately for CSN, Southern Idaho scored eight runs over the final innings to claim the lead and move to 5-4 against the Coyotes.
Southern Nevada will now play in an elimination game on Friday with the winner of a game between USU Eastern and Colorado Northwestern. The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
