HENDERSON, Nev. (August 23, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Men's Soccer team had a tough result in a non-conference match Tuesday.
 
CSN dropped a 4-1 decision to Yavapai College, falling to 1-2 overall in the young 2022 season. The loss represented a disappointing start to a four-match week ahead for the Coyotes.
 
Yavapai started quickly, scoring a goal in the opening minutes to take an early lead. CSN countered in the 13^thminute with a goal by Saul Chavez-Ramirez, with Yavapai eventually taking a 2-1 lead into the halftime break. Yavapai scored two more goals in the second half. 
 
CSN goalkeeper Damian Moreno made seven saves in the loss. Eli Zaragosa had three shots in the match. 
 
Southern Nevada will host Eastern Florida State in a non-conference match on Friday at the Cheyenne Sports Complex. CSN will play a pair of road matches next weekend, facing off against Arizona Western and Phoenix College.
