HENDERSON, Nev. (January 19, 2023) – The best way to follow up a disappointing loss is to post a redeeming victory.
A day after falling to Colorado Northwestern, the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team rose to earn a 67-56 win over the Lady Spartans. CSN is now 8-10 overall and 2-6 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games with the win.
Unlike an evening before, the Lady Coyotes took early control and never looked back in the dominant win, limiting CNCC to just 27.5 percent shooting. Southern Nevada never trailed in the game, holding a 41-29 rebounding edge and leading by 16 points at halftime.
Aaliyah Ibarra posted 19 points in the win, while
Jordyn Stroud finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Emily Backus scored 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
Southern Nevada will finish its weekend road trip at USU Eastern on Saturday.
