Late Goal Lifts College of Southern Nevada to Victory Over Utah State Eastern

North Las Vegas, NV - In an intense soccer match held at the Cheyenne Sport Complex in North Las Vegas, the College of Southern Nevada managed to secure a hard-fought victory against Utah State Eastern with a final score of 1-0.

The game showcased excellent defensive skills and outstanding goalkeeping on both sides, but it was the College of Southern Nevada that ultimately broke through the opposing defense to secure the only goal of the match.

The first half of the game saw Utah State Eastern dominating the field with 14 shots compared to the College of Southern Nevada's 5. However, the efforts of both teams' goalkeepers, Macy Clements for Utah State Eastern and Megan Cox for the College of Southern Nevada, ensured that no goals were scored during this period.

The turning point of the game came in the 81st minute when College of Southern Nevada's Kasandra Dominguez capitalized on an opportunity, scoring the decisive goal with an assist from Riley Cardenas. This goal shifted the momentum in favor of the College of Southern Nevada, and despite Utah State Eastern's continued efforts to equalize, they were unable to breach the opposing defense.

Yellow cards were issued in the 60th minute to Utah State Eastern's Sailor Jensen, indicating the escalating intensity of the match. Both teams fought fiercely for control of the field, resulting in a total of 25 shots for Utah State Eastern and 15 shots for the College of Southern Nevada throughout the game.

In terms of saves, both goalkeepers performed admirably. Macy Clements of Utah State Eastern made a total of 10 saves, while Megan Cox of the College of Southern Nevada made 11 crucial saves to keep her team's clean sheet intact.

Corner kicks and fouls were evenly distributed between the two teams, with Utah State Eastern having 5 corner kicks and committing 10 fouls, and the College of Southern Nevada having 6 corner kicks and committing 11 fouls.

With this victory, the College of Southern Nevada improved its record to 4-6-2 (3-3-0), while Utah State Eastern's record now stands at 8-3-2 (6-2-2).
