CSN Softball drops non-conference doubleheader on the road

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HENDERSON, Nev. (February 24, 2023) – The College of Southern Nevada Softball team closed the 2023 preseason with a tough performance in Arizona.
 
CSN fell in losses of 8-7 and 8-5 in a doubleheader against Phoenix College, moving to 8-6 overall. The Lady Coyotes will open Scenic West Athletic Conference play with games against Colorado Northwestern Community College at home.
 
Phoenix 8, Southern Nevada 7: Phoenix had a walk-off score to close out the first game.
 
CSN had ten hits in the loss, with the Lady Coyotes being led by Cynthia Alvillar's 2-of-4 performance at the plate. Alvillar also had three RBI's in the loss. 
 
Phoenix 8, Southern Nevada 5: More late fireworks led to another walk-off win for the Bears.
 
Phoenix jumped out to a 3-1 lead over the Lady Coyotes, prior to Southern Nevada scoring three runs in the sixth inning to get back in the game. Jocelyn Shupp was 2-of-3 in the loss.
