Southern Nevada splits with Snow College in Saturday doubleheader

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 HENDERSON, Nev. (March 18, 2023) – A competitive Scenic West series saw yet another split Saturday.
 
Southern Nevada Softball, playing at Snow College, split Saturday's doubleheader to split the series, 2-2. CSN fell 15-7 in the opening game, then responded with a 7-6 win in the series finale. The Lady Coyotes are now 14-10 overall and 6-4 in Scenic West games.
 
CSN will travel to play at Salt Lake next week.
 
Snow 15, Southern Nevada 7: A strong start by the Lady Badgers downed the Lady Coyotes.
 
Snow scored 12 runs in the first two innings, taking control, and never giving back the lead in a run-rule win. The Lady Badgers had 13 hits in the win.
 
Jocelyn Shupp went 3-of-3 in the win. Kenley Cole was 2-of-4. 
 
Southern Nevada 7, Snow 6: A strong performance in the middle innings lifted the Lady Coyotes to a win in the series finale.
 
Southern Nevada scored seven runs over three innings, utilizing home runs from Caitlin Covington and Jocelyn Shupp to build a commanding lead. Shupp went 3-of-3, while Kenley Cole was 3-of-5 with a pair of RBI's. 
 
Laynee Anzalone earned the pitching win, throwing a complete game and posting seven strikeouts.
