College of Southern Nevada Edges Out North Idaho College 78-75 in Thrilling Showdown

In an electrifying basketball showdown at the Coyote Event Center, the College of Southern Nevada managed to narrowly secure a victory against North Idaho College with a final score of 78-75. This high-stakes matchup had fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

The College of Southern Nevada (19-2, 2-2) came into the game as the heavy favorite, but North Idaho College (7-12, 0-4) had other plans. The opening quarter set the tone for an intense battle as Southern Nevada took a 19-9 lead, led by Aaliyah Ibarra's sharp shooting and defensive prowess. However, North Idaho College was determined to fight back.

The second quarter witnessed North Idaho College's Maddie Williamson's impressive performance. Williamson's impeccable shooting and strong defensive skills helped her team narrow the gap. Despite this, College of Southern Nevada's Jordyn Stroud and Keyna Hadley continued to maintain their lead with accurate shooting and a relentless presence on the boards. At halftime, the score stood at 39-22 in favor of the College of Southern Nevada.

The third quarter proved to be a turning point in the game. North Idaho College staged a remarkable comeback, outscoring their opponents 36-20. Kendall Pickford led the charge with an impressive 27 points, including six three-pointers, while Maddie Williamson and Deniece Ryan contributed both offensively and defensively. North Idaho College's renewed energy and exceptional teamwork kept the audience on their toes.

The final quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading baskets and defensive stops. North Idaho College fought valiantly to close the gap, but College of Southern Nevada managed to hold on to their slim lead. Key players for the College of Southern Nevada included Aaliyah Ibarra, who finished with 19 points, Jordyn Stroud with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Keyna Hadley with 12 points and 7 assists. Paige Grant and Layla Faught also contributed with their solid performances.

For North Idaho College, Kendall Pickford was the standout performer with her 27 points and six three-pointers. Maddie Williamson and Deniece Ryan were also instrumental, contributing 21 and 15 points respectively.
