The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Women's Basketball team extended their unbeaten start to the season with a commanding 95-56 win over Phoenix College. The Coyotes showcased their dominance from start to finish, improving their record to 5-0 in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Coyote Event Center.
CSN came out firing in the first quarter, building a 33-9 lead with precision shooting and strong defense. They continued their aggressive pace, maintaining control through each quarter. By halftime, CSN led 51-18, and despite Phoenix College's efforts to close the gap in the second half, the Coyotes' offense and defense proved too powerful.
Top Performers for CSN:
- Trysta Barrett: Barrett led the Coyotes with 19 points, shooting 7-10 from the field, including 3-4 from three-point range, along with 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
- Saroiya Ajomale: Ajomale contributed 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals, showcasing both scoring ability and defensive tenacity.
- Adrienne Puletasi: Dominating in the paint, Puletasi recorded a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds, adding 5 assists and 2 blocks.
The Coyotes excelled in all areas, shooting 52.9% from the field while holding Phoenix College to just 30.8% shooting. CSN's aggressive defense forced 24 turnovers and capitalized on these opportunities, scoring 28 points off turnovers. Their bench also provided substantial support, contributing 26 points.

Phoenix College struggled to match CSN's intensity, but Shyrai Shorty shined with a team-high 20 points, including 6 three-pointers. Despite Shorty's efforts, Phoenix College couldn't keep pace with CSN's scoring and defensive pressure.
