College of Southern Nevada Dominates Southern Nevada All-Stars with 111-49 Victory

North Las Vegas, NV - In a one-sided showdown at the Coyote Event Center, the College of Southern Nevada Coyotes demonstrated their basketball prowess by cruising to a commanding 111-49 victory over the Southern Nevada All-Stars. The game, held on February 29, 2024, showcased the stark contrast in skill and execution between the two teams.

From the opening tip-off, it was evident that the College of Southern Nevada was determined to assert their dominance. With precision passing and sharp shooting, they quickly built a substantial lead, leaving the Southern Nevada All-Stars struggling to keep pace. By the end of the first quarter, the Coyotes had surged ahead to a 23-10 advantage.

The second quarter saw much of the same, as the College of Southern Nevada continued to execute their game plan with efficiency. Led by standout performances from Aaliyah Ibarra and Alliyah Castro, who combined for 19 points in the first half, the Coyotes extended their lead to 48-25 heading into halftime.

Despite a brief resurgence from the Southern Nevada All-Stars in the third quarter, the College of Southern Nevada maintained their composure and refused to let up. Keyna Hadley orchestrated the offense brilliantly, dishing out assists and controlling the tempo of the game, while Jordyn Stroud dominated the boards, securing crucial rebounds on both ends of the floor.

As the final buzzer sounded, it was abundantly clear that the College of Southern Nevada had delivered a masterclass in basketball. Their relentless energy, coupled with their unyielding defense, proved too much for the Southern Nevada All-Stars to handle. The final score of 111-49 reflected the stark disparity in skill between the two teams.

Aaliyah Ibarra led the charge for the College of Southern Nevada with a game-high 29 points, showcasing her scoring prowess from beyond the arc and around the rim. She was ably supported by a balanced scoring effort from her teammates, with Alliyah Castro, Jordyn Stroud, and Leah Mitchell all contributing double-digit points to the victory.

On the other side, the Southern Nevada All-Stars struggled to find their rhythm offensively, shooting just 31.6% from the field for the game. Despite the best efforts of Sharmayne Finley and Kalee Whipple, who finished with 11 and 10 points respectively, the All-Stars simply couldn't generate enough offense to keep pace with their opponents.

With this dominant win, the College of Southern Nevada improves to an impressive 26-4 record for the season, further solidifying their status as one of the top teams in the region.
