Henderson, NV - March 16, 2024
In a historic game, the College of Southern Nevada baseball team secured an 11-0 victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College at Morse Stadium, highlighted by a remarkable no-hitter thrown by pitcher Seth Graham-Pippin. The Coyotes' dominant performance on the mound and at the plate solidified their status as a formidable force in the conference.
From the first pitch, Graham-Pippin displayed absolute mastery, keeping Colorado Northwestern's hitters off balance and unable to find any gaps in the defense. His command of pitches and strategic approach led to an extraordinary outing that will be remembered for years to come.
The Coyotes' offense provided ample support for Graham-Pi'ppin's gem, scoring early and often to give their pitcher a comfortable lead. Center fielder Jet Gilliam led the charge, going 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Left fielder Garrison Geis also contributed, going 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored, and a stolen base.
"It's amazing to witness a no-hitter," said Coyotes' coach Nick Garritano. "Graham-Pippin was in control from start to finish, and our offense did a great job of putting runs on the board to support him. It's a team effort, and everyone played their part."
First baseman Mikey Cruz and designated hitter Brady Ballinger each drove in three runs for the Coyotes, with Ballinger going 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, and two runs scored. Second baseman Nicky Garritano and right fielder Colin Hushaw also contributed RBIs to round out the offensive showcase.
Defensively, the Coyotes made several key plays to preserve Graham-Pippin's no-hitter, including spectacular catches in the outfield and solid infield defense.
Despite the loss, Colorado Northwestern fought hard throughout the game, but Graham-Pippn's dominant pitching performance proved to be insurmountable.
With the no-hitter, the College of Southern Nevada improves to 16-7 on the season and continues to build momentum as they strive for a conference championship. Graham-Pippin's historic achievement adds to the team's legacy and underscores their potential to compete at the highest level.
