Rangely, CO – April 20, 2024 – The College of Southern Nevada's (CSN) softball team displayed a commanding presence on the field with a dominant 21-5 victory in the first game of a doubleheader against Colorado Northwestern. Despite a challenging second game where they fell 5-1, the team's performance highlighted their offensive strength and resilience.
Game 1: Offensive Fireworks Lead to Decisive Victory
In the first game, CSN's hitters put on an impressive display, racking up 21 runs on 19 hits. The game was effectively decided by the fourth inning, where CSN exploded for 11 runs, showcasing their depth and power at the plate. Key performers included Camryn Hunkins, who notched three hits and two RBIs, and Sierra Hoyt, who added substantial firepower with two doubles and three RBIs.
