CSN Men’s Soccer Falls at Arizona Western in Regular Season Finale

YUMA, Ariz. (October 18, 2025) – The College of Southern Nevada Men's Soccer team wrapped up its 2025 regular season on the road Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to Arizona Western College in ACCAC action at Matador Soccer Field. With the result, the Coyotes move to 5-6-1 overall and 1-6-1 in conference play as they now await the final Region 1 standings to see if they qualify for postseason play.

CSN battled throughout the match against one of the top-ranked programs in the ACCAC, holding strong through much of the first half before the Matadors broke through in the 37th minute. Arizona Western added three more goals in the second half to secure the win.

Goalkeeper Aldair Castelo was busy in net, recording eight saves on 12 shots on goal. The Coyotes registered two total shots in the match, including one on target from Yousufu Younis-Siaway in the closing minutes.

Key Moments
  • 37th minute: Arizona Western opened the scoring on a goal from Abdou Moursali to take a 1-0 lead.
  • 49th minute: Roussel Laity extended the Matadors' lead to 2-0 with an assist from Jackson George.
  • 73rd minute: Noah Naus converted a goal assisted by Justin Vallelian to make it 3-0.
  • 87th minute: Steven LeBlanc capped the scoring with a successful penalty kick for the final 4-0 margin.

Despite the setback, the Coyotes showed strong resolve against one of the conference's most potent offensive units, limiting Arizona Western's efficiency on several scoring opportunities while continuing to develop their young core for postseason and future success.

The Coyotes will now wait for official Region 1 tournament seeding announcements to determine if their season continues into postseason play.
