North Las Vegas, NV — The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team wrapped up its 2025 home schedule on Saturday afternoon, hosting the Arizona Western College Matadors in the second match of a two-game series at the Coyote Event Center. The Lady Coyotes played with passion and determination in front of an energetic home crowd, showing great fight in the final set before falling in three (11–25, 18–25, 22–25).
Freshman
Isabella Pereira-Liugalua paced the CSN attack with an impressive 10 kills on 25 swings, finishing with a .240 hitting percentage and 11 total points. Sophomore
Dani Robinson added six kills and continued to anchor the Coyotes' front-row play, while
Caidden Boggs and
Kimora Combes each chipped in with several key kills to keep CSN in contention late in the match.
Setter
Libbie Ferreiro directed the offense with 25 assists and added a service ace, while
Gianna Jackson provided an energetic spark from the service line, contributing two aces of her own.
The Coyotes' best stretch came in the third set, where they battled point-for-point with the Matadors behind strong serving and improved blocking at the net. Pereira-Liugalua's consistency and Ferreiro's court leadership helped CSN close the gap late before Arizona Western was able to edge out the set.
Defensively,
Tia Alofipo led the back row with 11 digs, while Ferreiro (13 digs) and Robinson (6 digs) added steady coverage. Combes and Boggs each registered blocks at the net as CSN's defensive presence continued to grow stronger throughout the match.
The Lady Coyotes will now turn their attention to the final match of the 2025 season as they travel to Thatcher, Arizona, on Wednesday, October 29, to take on Eastern Arizona College in the season finale.
