HENDERSON, NV — The College of Southern Nevada's Lady Coyotes completed a dominant four-game sweep over the Central Arizona College Vaqueras with an emphatic 17-2 win on Saturday afternoon. This final matchup saw the Lady Coyotes bolster their record to 12-9 overall and extend their unbeaten streak in ACCAC conference play to 8-0.

Pitcher Blakelee Christian secured her first win of the season, giving up just two runs on nine hits over three innings, effectively managing the Vaqueras' lineup. In relief, Aniya Edwards continued the solid pitching, allowing no earned runs over the remaining two innings. A. Lovo, on the mound for the Vaqueras, suffered the loss, pushing her season record to 4-7 after a challenging outing.

The game quickly escalated in the second inning when the Lady Coyotes exploded for 12 runs. This incredible rally was fueled by a series of hits and strategic plays, including a double by Miken Jacobsen and a series of successful stolen bases. Justice Lavin notably contributed with a two-run double that punctuated the inning's scoring.

The third inning saw the Lady Coyotes solidify their lead with five more runs, highlighted by a home run from Miken Jacobsen, her second of the season, driving in multiple runs. The relentless offensive display effectively put the game out of reach early, with CSN demonstrating both power and precision at the plate.

Central Arizona struggled to find their footing against CSN's aggressive play. While they managed to notch nine hits, they could only convert these into two runs, with defensive misplays and caught stealing attempts stifling their efforts to rally. The Vaqueras' two errors contrasted sharply with the Lady Coyotes' aggressive baserunning and timely hitting.

Defensively, CSN had a couple of errors but these did not compromise their commanding lead. The team's performance was a display of coordination and teamwork, with every player contributing to the scoreline or defending tightly to maintain their advantage.

With this victory, the Lady Coyotes not only completed their sweep but also sent a strong message to their conference rivals about their championship credentials. As they continue undefeated in conference play, their sights will be set on maintaining this momentum through the upcoming fixtures, showcasing the depth and talent of their roster. The Vaqueras, on the other hand, will look to regroup and address the challenges exposed by this series as they prepare for their next set of games.
