HENDERSON, Nev. — Jan. 31, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada closed day two of the 2026 Coyote Kickoff Classic with a 12–6 victory over North Idaho College on Saturday afternoon at Lady Coyote Field.

CSN struck first in the bottom of the opening inning as Bella Hee reached on an error, stole two bases, and came around to score to give the Lady Coyotes an early 1–0 lead. North Idaho answered with four runs in the second inning to briefly move in front.

The Lady Coyotes responded immediately in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, Payten Benson delivered a bases-clearing double, driving in Bella Hee, Sierra Dennison, and Miken Jacobsen to tie the game at 4–4.

CSN took control in the third inning with a seven-run rally. Hannah Horst opened the frame with a solo home run before the Coyotes added runs on a sacrifice fly by Miken Jacobsen, an RBI single from Sierra Dennison, an RBI hit by Jaydah Chun, and a two-run single by Chayenne Tepraseut. An additional unearned run capped the inning as CSN built an 11–4 advantage.

The Lady Coyotes added one more run in the fourth inning on a wild pitch to extend the lead to 12–4. North Idaho scored twice in the fifth, but CSN pitching and defense held the visitors scoreless the rest of the way.

In the circle, Hannah Horst earned the win to improve to 3–0 on the season, allowing four runs over three innings. Brooklynn Richardson worked four innings in relief to pick up the save. Offensively, CSN finished with 14 hits, with Bella Hee scoring three runs and Chayenne Tepraseut collecting two hits and two RBIs.

With the win, the Lady Coyotes improved to 5–2 on the season and completed day two of the Kickoff Classic with a 2–0 record. CSN will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 1, with a doubleheader against Spoon River College at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at Lady Coyote Field.
