Coyotes Complete Road Sweep with Late Surge at Cochise

Box Score Douglas, Ariz. — January 9, 2026- The College of Southern Nevada Coyotes capped off a successful ACCAC road trip Friday night with an 83–82 victory over Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona, completing a two-game sweep of the Apaches and improving to 11–5 overall and 2–0 in conference play.

In a tightly contested game that featured six ties and three lead changes, CSN delivered in the closing minutes, using balanced scoring and timely defensive stops to edge out Cochise in the final seconds.

Maximus Romero led the Coyotes with a game-high 31 points, connecting on 10-of-19 shots from the field and knocking down four three-pointers. Romero also went 7-for-8 at the free-throw line and added five rebounds to anchor CSN offensively.

Demarion Yap added 14 points, three assists, and three steals, while Ryan Raad chipped in 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including two three-pointers. Drake Watanabe provided a strong all-around effort with 18 points, hitting 6-of-9 from the field and all six of his free-throw attempts.

CSN shot 48.1 percent from the floor and 46.4 percent from beyond the arc, while also converting 18-of-22 free throws. The Coyotes finished with 17 assists and forced 19 Cochise turnovers, turning defense into key scoring opportunities.

Cochise was led by Teron Murray, who finished with 18 points, while Emmanuel Jo Samuel added 20 points. Naeem Colston chipped in 15 points and provided inside presence for the Apaches, who shot 42.6 percent overall.
After the teams were tied 39–39 at halftime, CSN outscored Cochise 44–43 in the second half, building a late cushion before holding on through the final possession.

With the road sweep complete, the Coyotes return to North Las Vegas to continue conference play. CSN will host Yavapai College on Wednesday, January 14, at the Coyote Event Center on the North Las Vegas Campus.
