Holloway Fans 11 as Lady Coyotes Take Game One at Mesa

MESA, Ariz. — Feb. 13, 2026 — Behind a dominant performance in the circle from Haylee Holloway, the College of Southern Nevada defeated Mesa Community College 7–2 in game one of Friday's doubleheader.

Holloway struck out 11 batters over seven complete innings, allowing 10 hits and two earned runs while issuing no walks to earn the victory.

CSN opened the scoring in the top of the first inning when Haley Horst doubled and later scored to give the Lady Coyotes an early 1–0 lead. Mesa answered in the bottom half of the inning, tying the game at one on a double down the left-field line by A. Antillon.

The Lady Coyotes seized control in the third inning with a four-run rally. Destinee Lopez singled to drive in a run, Payten Benson followed with an RBI double, and two additional runs scored on a Mesa error to push CSN in front 5–1.

Mesa cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when S. Serrano connected on a solo home run to left field, but Holloway closed the door from there, retiring the final four batters she faced to secure the win.

Offensively, CSN collected nine hits. Chloe Tepraseuth led the way with a 3-for-4 performance, including a double and an RBI. Horst, Benson, Tepraseuth, Lopez and Jaydah Chun each drove in a run. The Lady Coyotes showed patience at the plate, drawing five walks, and were aggressive on the bases with four stolen bases from Horst, Mariela Rodriguez, Jimena Barraza-Caro, and Tepraseuth.

Mesa Community College finished with 10 hits, led by two apiece from M. Owens and M. Campono. Antillon and Serrano each drove in a run for the Thunderbirds.

The victory improved the Lady Coyotes to 7–3 on the season. CSN will conclude the doubleheader against Mesa Community College later today.
