HENDERSON, Nev. — March 28, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada powered its way to a 13–9 win over Eastern Arizona College in game three of the ACCAC series Saturday morning at Lady Coyote Field.
In a high-scoring contest featuring 28 combined hits, the Lady Coyotes used multiple big innings to build separation and hold off the Gila Monsters.
Eastern Arizona struck first with a run in the opening inning, but CSN responded immediately in the bottom half. Jaydah Chun and Breya Hee each singled to start the rally before Ellie Leatham drove in a run with a groundout. Moments later, Athena Tonga'onevai delivered a two-run home run to give the Lady Coyotes a 3–1 lead.
Eastern Arizona answered with single runs in both the second and third innings, but CSN continued to respond offensively. Chun tripled and scored in the second inning, and the Lady Coyotes added another run in the third when Ciana Cubi drove in a run with a single to make it 5–3.
The Lady Coyotes broke the game open in the fourth inning. Hee and Chloe Tepraseuth each singled before Leatham delivered an RBI single. Tonga'onevai followed with a two-run double, and Cubi added another RBI single. Payten Benson capped the inning with a sacrifice fly as CSN extended the lead to 9–3.
Eastern Arizona battled back with three runs in the fifth inning, but CSN answered once again in the bottom half. Tepraseuth singled home a run, and Leatham followed with a two-run double. Tonga'onevai later scored as part of a continued rally, pushing the lead to 13–6.
The Gila Monsters added runs in the sixth and seventh innings, but the Lady Coyotes maintained control to secure the victory.
CSN finished with 19 hits in the game. Hee led the offense with three hits and three runs scored, while Tepraseuth added three hits and an RBI. Leatham drove in four runs on three hits, and Tonga'onevai delivered a home run, a double, and four RBIs. Cubi added three hits and an RBI, and Reggi Frei contributed three hits and scored twice.
In the circle, Haley Horst earned the win, allowing six runs over four innings. Callie Averett provided relief, and Brooklynn Richardson worked the final inning to close out the game.
According to the box score, CSN totaled 13 runs on 19 hits, while Eastern Arizona recorded 17 hits in the contest.
With the win, the Lady Coyotes improve to 22–13 overall and 11–4 in ACCAC play.
The four-game ACCAC series between CSN and Eastern Arizona will conclude later Saturday afternoon at Lady Coyote Field.
