DOUGLAS, Ariz. — The College of Southern Nevada Lady Coyotes saw their 2025–2026 season come to an end Tuesday night with a 92–69 loss to Cochise College in the Region I Women's Basketball Play-In Game in Douglas, Arizona.
Despite the final score, the Lady Coyotes battled throughout the contest and finished strong in the fourth quarter behind a standout performance from sophomore Saroiya Ajomale, who scored a game-high 33 points in her final appearance in a CSN uniform.
Cochise came out firing in the opening quarter, connecting on seven three-pointers and shooting over 70 percent from the field to build an early advantage. The Apaches used the hot start to jump out to a 32–8 lead after the first quarter.
The Lady Coyotes settled in during the second quarter and competed more evenly, finding success on the boards behind Alana Conner and Trista Mabry. CSN began to generate better offensive looks, but the early deficit proved difficult to overcome as Cochise carried a 47–22 lead into halftime.
CSN continued to battle in the second half. Ajomale sparked the offense with several key baskets and a three-pointer during a strong stretch in the third quarter. Mabry added interior scoring while Satsuki Bradley contributed from the perimeter, but Cochise maintained control and entered the final quarter with a 68–39 lead.
The Lady Coyotes showed their resilience in the fourth quarter, putting together their most productive offensive period of the night with 30 points. Ajomale led the late push with multiple three-pointers and trips to the free-throw line, continuing to demonstrate the scoring ability and leadership that defined her historic CSN career.
Ajomale finished with 33 points on 12-of-22 shooting, including three three-pointers, while adding seven rebounds. Bradley and Mabry each added 10 points for the Lady Coyotes. Conner contributed four points and eight rebounds off the bench, while Alanna Jackson added four points and four rebounds. Elizebeth Mahavong, Mya Harper, and Leah Mitchell also provided minutes and contributions for CSN.
Cochise was led by Gaby Oliver with 26 points, while Cecy Burruel and Noa Mikami each added 16 points to lead the Apaches to the victory.
With the loss, the Lady Coyotes conclude the 2025–2026 season with an 18–13 overall record, including a 6–9 mark in ACCAC conference play, earning a Region I play-in opportunity after finishing conference competition tied for the final playoff positions.
While the season ended short of advancing to the Region I Semi Finals, the Lady Coyotes delivered a memorable year highlighted by the program's first 1,000-point scorer in Saroiya Ajomale, continued growth from a talented roster, and a group of sophomores who helped elevate the program.
