HENDERSON, Nev. — April 10, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada completed a doubleheader sweep of Central Arizona College with a 9–1 victory in game two of Friday's ACCAC series at Lady Coyote Field.
The Lady Coyotes set the tone early, scoring four runs in the opening inning and never looking back behind a strong all-around performance.
CSN jumped on the board in the first inning when Jimena Barraza-Caro singled and later scored on an RBI single from Ellie Leatham. The Coyotes capitalized on aggressive baserunning and miscues, adding runs on a wild pitch, a fielder's choice from Athena Tonga'onevai, and an RBI groundout by Miken Jacobsen to take a 4–0 lead.
The offense stayed hot in the third inning. Chloe Tepraseuth reached and advanced before Leatham delivered a two-run home run to center field. Jacobsen followed with a solo home run, extending the lead to 7–0.
Central Arizona got its lone run in the fourth inning on an RBI single, but the Lady Coyotes quickly answered.
Leatham added another home run in the fifth inning, finishing a standout performance at the plate, and CSN tacked on a final run in the sixth. After Jaydah Chun reached on an error and Mariela Rodriguez entered as a pinch runner, Rodriguez advanced before Destinee Lopez delivered an RBI single to score the final run of the game.
CSN finished with 11 hits in the contest. Leatham led the offense with three hits, including two home runs, and drove in four runs. Tepraseuth added two hits, while Jacobsen contributed a home run and two RBIs. Barraza-Caro, Ciana Cubi, Reggi Frei, and Lopez each added hits in the balanced offensive effort.
In the circle, Haley Horst earned the win with a complete-game performance, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out one. According to the box score, Horst limited Central Arizona to one run on five hits over six innings.
With the win, the Lady Coyotes improve to 24–14 overall and 13–5 in ACCAC play.
The four-game ACCAC series will conclude Saturday at Lady Coyote Field with a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 a.m..
