HENDERSON, Nev. — April 25, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada closed out its four-game ACCAC series with a dominant 8–0 victory over Yavapai College on Saturday afternoon at Lady Coyote Field.
With the win, the Lady Coyotes improve to 30–18 overall and 19–9 in ACCAC play.
CSN set the tone early, taking advantage of defensive miscues to score in the bottom of the first inning. Breya Hee reached base and came around to score on a throwing error following a sacrifice from Jaydah Chun, giving the Lady Coyotes a 1–0 lead.
The Coyotes broke the game open in the third inning with a six-run outburst. Hee reached base again to start the rally, and Chun moved her into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt. Chloe Tepraseuth followed with an RBI single, and Destinee Lopez added another run-scoring single. Ellie Leatham delivered a double to put runners in scoring position before Payten Benson drove in two runs with a double to right field. Mattingly Mauzey and Mariela Rodriguez each added RBI hits to cap the inning as CSN surged ahead 7–0.
CSN added an insurance run in the fifth inning. Hee drew a walk and Jimena Barraza-Caro entered as a pinch hitter, delivering a bunt single to put runners aboard. Tepraseuth followed with an RBI single to extend the lead to 8–0.
The Lady Coyotes finished with 10 hits in the contest. Tepraseuth led the offense with two hits and two RBIs, while Lopez added two hits and an RBI. Leatham and Benson each recorded doubles, with Benson driving in two runs. Mauzey and Rodriguez each contributed RBI hits as CSN produced throughout the lineup.
In the circle, Haylee Holloway was dominant, tossing a complete-game shutout. The right-hander allowed just three hits while striking out three and not issuing a walk over five innings. Holloway limited Yavapai to three hits and no runs across five innings in the run-rule victory.
The Lady Coyotes controlled all facets of the game, combining aggressive offense with strong pitching and clean defense to secure the win.
CSN will wrap up the regular season next weekend on the road, traveling to Thatcher, Arizona, for a four-game ACCAC series against Eastern Arizona College beginning May 1.
