THATCHER, Ariz. — May 1, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada Coyotes battled through a back-and-forth extra-inning contest but fell to Eastern Arizona College, 6–5, in 11 innings Friday afternoon in Game Two of the ACCAC series.
With the loss, CSN moved to 36–11 overall and 21–8 in ACCAC play.
The Coyotes broke through in the third inning with a three-run rally. After working baserunners, Jase DeSantis delivered the big swing with a two-run home run to give CSN an early 3–0 advantage.
Eastern Arizona answered immediately in the bottom half of the inning, matching the Coyotes with three runs to tie the game at 3–3.
The Gila Monsters took the lead in the sixth inning, capitalizing on timely hitting to push across two runs and move in front 5–3.
CSN responded in the seventh inning to even the score once again. Trey Evans drove in a run, and Alex Rhynes followed with an RBI to tie the game at 5–5, setting up a tense finish.
Both teams were held scoreless through the eighth, ninth, and tenth innings as the game turned into a bullpen battle.
On the mound, Christopher Wrench started for the Coyotes and allowed three runs (two earned) over four innings while striking out five. Tee Southisene followed with a scoreless inning, and Evan Festa worked two innings, allowing two runs. Benjamin Schroeder kept CSN in the game with two shutout innings of relief before Andrew Kaplan took over in extra innings.
In the bottom of the 11th, Eastern Arizona capitalized on the opportunity, pushing across the game-winning run to secure the 6–5 victory. Kaplan was charged with the loss.
Offensively, Jake Gorrell led the Coyotes with two hits, including a double and two RBIs. DeSantis added the two-run home run, while Evans and Rhynes each drove in a run as CSN totaled eight hits in the contest.
