THATCHER, Ariz. — May 1, 2026 — The No. 11 College of Southern Nevada Coyotes captured the ACCAC Regular Season Championship for the second consecutive year, defeating Eastern Arizona College, 4–0, Friday afternoon in the opening game of a three-game series.
With the victory, CSN improved to 36–10 overall and 21–7 in ACCAC play, securing the conference title outright.
The Coyotes relied on dominant pitching and timely offense to control the game from start to finish.
CSN broke through in the second inning. After working traffic on the bases, Grant Smith drove in the game's first run, and the Coyotes took a 1–0 lead.
The Coyotes extended their advantage in the third inning. Caden Kirby reached and later came around to score, and Evan Festa delivered an RBI hit to push the lead to 3–0.
CSN added an insurance run in the sixth inning. Joseph Randazzo doubled to put a runner in scoring position, and the Coyotes capitalized to extend the lead to 4–0.
On the mound, James Bradford delivered another strong outing, setting the tone early. The right-hander worked five scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out six to earn the win.
The Coyotes' bullpen preserved the shutout. Mayson Reichartz followed with a scoreless inning, striking out two, and Andrew Kaplan closed the game with a scoreless frame to secure the victory.
CSN was opportunistic offensively, collecting six hits while drawing three walks and applying pressure on the basepaths. Kirby scored three runs and added a stolen base, while Festa and Alex Rhynes each contributed an RBI. Harvey Smerdon added two RBIs as the Coyotes capitalized on their scoring chances.
