Lady Coyotes Erupt for Eight-Run Inning to Take Game Three at Eastern Arizona

THATCHER, Ariz. — May 2, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada responded in a big way Saturday morning, using an explosive fourth inning to defeat Eastern Arizona College 11–6 in game three of the four-game ACCAC series.

The Lady Coyotes improved their standing in the series with a balanced offensive attack and a complete-game effort in the circle from Brooklynn Richardson.

Eastern Arizona jumped out early, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding two more in the second to take a 5–2 lead.

CSN chipped away early, plating a run in the first and another in the second. Breya Hee contributed early in the rally, while Reggi Frei added an RBI to keep the Lady Coyotes within striking distance.

The turning point came in the fourth inning when CSN erupted for eight runs. The Lady Coyotes strung together timely hits and capitalized on defensive miscues to flip the game. Ellie Leatham delivered the biggest blow of the inning with a three-run home run, while Destinee Lopez added a pair of RBI doubles. Jimena Barraza-Caro reached multiple times during the rally and scored, and Ciana Cubi and Jaydah Chun each contributed hits to keep the inning alive as CSN surged ahead 10–5.

Eastern Arizona added a run in the fifth inning, but the Lady Coyotes maintained control the rest of the way. CSN added an insurance run in the seventh inning to seal the 11–6 victory.

The Lady Coyotes finished with 12 hits in the contest. Leatham led the offense with four RBIs, including the home run, while Lopez added two hits and two RBIs. Hee contributed a hit and drove in two runs, and Frei added an RBI as part of the balanced attack. Barraza-Caro scored three runs and added two hits, while Cubi and Chun each recorded two hits.

In the circle, Richardson went the distance to earn the win, allowing six runs (two earned) on 11 hits while keeping Eastern Arizona in check after the early innings.

CSN totaled 11 runs on 12 hits, overcoming an early deficit with its biggest inning of the series.

The four-game ACCAC series between the Lady Coyotes and Eastern Arizona will conclude later Saturday afternoon in Thatcher.
