Coach Williams brings a wealth of experience to the CSN men’s basketball program having coached for 20 years at the NCAA D1, AAU and High School levels.
Coach Williams started his coaching career in the Bay Area with the Oakland Soldiers in 1998 while cutting his teeth at San Leandro High School from 1998-2002.
Coach Williams then moved up to the NCAA D1 level at San Jose State for two stints: 2002-2004 and returned to the program as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for George Nessman from 2005-2013.
In 2013 Coach Williams wife passed away and he stepped away from the game to father his two sons, Justin 20 and Jalen 18.
Coach Williams remarried Dawayla Williams and moved to Stockton and the two have beautiful twin daughters Jasmine and Jasmene and a son Joseph. Donald and Dawayla also have two adult daughters Tiara and Tasha.
Coach Williams currently assists with AAU with Port City Academy, and has coached at Western Ranch High School and is currently assisting at Chavez High School in Stockton, CA.
