Bryce Harper, a Las Vegas native and former College of Southern Nevada Baseball player won the 2015 National League Most Valuable Player award by unanimous decision of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. He led the league in on base percentage, slugging percentage, and tied the league lead in home-runs. He is the first Junior College baseball player since Albert Pujols to win the MVP Award (2005,08,09). Harper topped a star studded list:

Cubs Harper enrolled at CSN in the spring of 2010 and played one season where he help lead the Coyotes to SWAC, Region 18, & Western District Championships, and earned a trip to the NJCAA College World Series. Harper played in 66 games, hit 31 home runs, had 98 RBI's, a .443 AVG, .526 OBP, and .987 SLG percentages. He holds several single season records at CSN, most hits (101), runs scored (98), runs batted in (98), total bases (225), slugging PCT (.987), and home runs (31).
