Las Vegas, NV- The CSN Coyotes have an opportunity this weekend to improve their standing, or possibly take the lead in the SWAC Conference, when they play the WNC Wildcats in a four game road series.  As of now, the Wildcats have a two game lead over the Coyotes in the SWAC standings.  This will not be an easy feat for the Coyotes, considering that the Wildcats have won 7 of their last 8 games, including a 5 game win streak.  Over this past weekend the Coyotes played some really exceptional baseball, winning 3 out of 4 over the nationally ranked #20 College of Southern Idaho.

The College of Southern Nevada's pitching staff was able to get back on track last weekend, and will attempt to carry their strong performances into the series this weekend.  Earlier in the season these two teams faced off in the SWAC Round Robin Tournament, and the Coyotes defeated the Wildcats 5 to 4.  If there is a lesson we can learn from this previous matchup, it is that each game of the series will be a close one.  Game #1 of the series starts later today at 4:00 pm in Carson City, NV.
