After the Coyotes dropped their opening match against #2 Monroe College Mustangs 9-2, the young Coyotes are looking to regroup versus #7 Daytona State College Falcons.  The Falcons who come into the National Tournament 16-2-1 overall riding a 4 game winning streak that included a 9-8 penalty shoot-out in the Southeast District Championship versus Eastern Florida State College earning them a spot in the National Tournament.

The #7 Falcons have netted 59 goals this year averaging 3.11 goals per game and only allowing 1.21 goals a game.  Seven members of the Falcons squad has earned FCSAA All-Region VIII honors, Brandon Berg- 1^st Team Defense, and Region VIII FCSAA Co-Player of the Year, Donovan Segree- 1^st Team Midfield, Rory O'Keeffe- 2^nd Team Defense, Mohamed Hussein- 2^nd Team Midfield, Jonas Bukh- 2^nd Team Forward, and Palemon Plancarte- 2^nd Team Goal Keeper.  This is the Falcons opening match of the tournament.

For the #11 Coyotes, this will be their second match of the tournament coming off a loss to #2 Monroe Mustangs.  The Coyotes have scored 64 goals this year averaging 2.78 goals per game and allowing 1.08 goals per game.  The Coyotes are backed by their four All-Region XVIII players, Miguel Navarrete- 1^st Team All-Region, Goal Keeper of the Year, and Region VXIII Tournament MVP.  Forward Genaro Corona- 1^st Team All-Region, and All Tournament Team, Mid-Fielder Stefan Skrinjaric- 1^st Team All-Region, All-Tournament Team, Defensemen Conner Malone- 2^nd Team All-Region.  Also earning post season awards was Mid-Fielder Edwardo Martinez who was selected to the Region XVIII All-Tournament team.
