Henderson, NV –
Isaiah Blaylock got the ball as the Coyotes looked to sweep the weekend series against the College of Southern Idaho.
Blaylock completely stifled the Golden Eagles without allowing a base runner past first base throughout the entire game.
The Coyotes would aid their pitcher by getting a run in the first when
Jarrett Perns scored on an error induced by
Dillon Johnson.
They added another in the second when
Christian Maggi scored
Joey O'Brien from third.
In the third,
Jason Wallace scored on a wild pitch.
Perns collected an RBI scoring
Cody Milner on a fielder's choice in the fourth before
Justin Lutes sent a deep shot over the right field wall to give the Coyotes a 6-run advantage.
Blaylock struck out the side in the fifth and gave the bats right back to his powerful offense.
O'Brien led the bottom of the fifth with a single.
Milner then wore one on the foot before
Jordan Macias singled to plate O'Brien.
Maggi then stepped up to the plate and tripled down the third-base line scoring Milner and Macias.
With the run-rule looming, Perns flew out to right but the throw in to home was misplaced by the catcher and allowed Maggi to score the tenth and final run of the game.
Blaylock went complete with only allowing two hits while striking out five.
The Coyotes (26-10; 13-3) complete the sweep before heading into the bye-week.
