Henderson, NV-The weekend series continued on with
Ben Cutting on the hill for the Coyotes as they looked to win game three Saturday afternoon.
The lefty ran into some early trouble as he allowed two runs in the first.
Thankfully, the Coyotes helped him out by collecting one run in the bottom half of the first off of an RBI-double from
Jason Wallace to plate
Justin Lutes.
Cutting settled in quickly after the first inning by striking out six and only allowing two more hits before he was able to rest after the sixth inning.
The Coyotes found their big inning in the fourth when
Kaid Urban lead off with a triple to deep right-center field.
Nicco Festa was then hit by the pitch on the next at bat.
Jordan Macias stepped up the plate and singled to plate Urban from third.
Christian Maggi followed that up with a single.
Jarrett Perns then singled up the middle to plate Festa and Macias for the 4-2 lead.
After two outs were collected by the Spartans,
Dillon Johnson singled up the middle to plate Perns and Maggi for a 4 run lead.
The Coyotes continued to hold the Spartans at bay and then brought in Joey O'Brein in the seventh to close them out.
O'Brien struck out two of the final three outs to seal the 6-2 victory for the Coyotes.
