Coyotes Drop Final Home Game to Bruins

Box Score

By Devin Virissimo

Henderson, NV – After getting the crucial third victory over the Salt Lake Community College Bruins, Coach Garritano sent out an all sophomore lineup to play one last home game together.

The first inning went the way of the Coyotes as Dan Skelly took the hill and had a quick outing to give the Coyotes early momentum.

The Coyotes were gifted numerous bases which turned into runs in the bottom half of the first. The highlight of the inning was when Ryan Jackson sent his very first pitch of the season down the left field line to plate two runs.

The Coyotes collected five runs total in the first before falling dormant against the Bruins' relief pitcher.

The Bruins were held scoreless until the fifth when they collected four runs aided by a three-run home run.

The Coyotes were unable to spark anything before their runs ran out.

When the bottom of the ninth ended, the score was 10-5 Bruins.

Despite the loss, the Coyotes went 15-1 at home throughout conference play; a record that may not be repeated for some time.
