Henderson, NV – Game 3 of the Region 18 Tournament feature the power arms of Ryan Beard for The College of Southern Idaho and Trenton Griffin of Salt Lake Community College.

The Bruins jumped out to a one-run lead in the bottom of the first off an RBI single.

Griffin had a no-hitter until the Golden Eagles were able to collect their first hit with a bang-bang play that went their way in the top of the fifth.

The Bruins tacked on one more run in the bottom of the fifth on an error.

The sixth is when the Bruins turned it on and scored one run on an error and then three more when Jacob Thurber cleared the bases on a triple.

The Golden Eagles finally got on the board in the seventh off a two-run home run from Shawn Grandmont.

Travis Bohall would also send a solo shot over the left field fence in the top of the ninth to close the deficit to three but were unable to overcome the precise pitching of the Bruins.

The Bruins will move on in the winner's bracket and face the Colorado Northwestern Spartans at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow.
