RENO, Nev. (October 12, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season against an in-state rival Saturday.
CSN downed Truckee Meadows Community College, 4-1, in a Scenic West Athletic Conference in Reno Saturday. The win boosts the team's overall record to 10-4-1 overall and 4-3-1 in league play.
The Lady Coyotes jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the match, with
Megan Donnelly scoring the first goal on a
Nohemi Mendoza assist to give the team a 1-0 lead in the 1
st minute. Mendoza scored her first of two goals in the 18
th minute to stretch the lead to 2-0, followed up by another goal in the 26
th minute. Kat Realegeno scored the final goal to give the team a 4-1 lead in the 89
th minute.
CSN dominated the match statistically, holding a 12-2 shot advantage. CSN goalkeeper
Larina Ibarra made a save in the victory.
Southern Nevada will return home to play Colorado Northwestern on Thursday at Heritage Park. The Lady Coyotes will also play USU Eastern on Saturday.
