Lady Coyote Soccer Focused On Finishing Strong In Final Two Matches Of Conference Play

HENDERSON, Nev. (October 16, 2019) – The final week of the regular season is upon the College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team and the Lady Coyotes are in the thick of the playoff hunt.
 
With just two matches remaining, the Lady Coyotes are in fourth place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings, sitting with 13 points. Just in front of them are USU Eastern and Snow College with 14 points, setting up CSN in prime position as the team hosts Colorado Northwestern and USU Eastern this weekend at Heritage Park.
 
CSN coach Geoff Hawkins said he likes where his team is at as they enter the final weekend of the regular season.
 
"Following two solid performances on the road, our team is more focused than ever," he said. "USU Eastern will test our ability to play with physical and strong teams."
 
USU Eastern is sitting at 4-2-2 in league play with 14 points, while CSN is at 4-3-1 with 13 points. The Eagles are coming off a 9-0 win over Colorado Northwestern and will play at Snow College on Thursday. Colorado Northwestern has yet to win a match in league play.
 
Southern Nevada will host CNCC at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday and USU Eastern at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday will also serve as the program's annual 'Sophomore Day'.
