HENDERSON, Nev. (October 3, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team is sitting in the middle of the pack in the Scenic West Athletic Conference through the first half of league play, setting up for a jam-packed finish.
Luckily for the Lady Coyotes, they will enter with momentum after an impressive victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College. CSN earned a 12-0 win over CNCC on Saturday, flexing their collective offensive-and-defensive muscles.
Southern Nevada coach
Geoff Hawkins said there is considerable energy around his team currently.
"We had some players who really stepped up on Saturday and demonstrated just how deep our team can be," he said.
The Lady Coyotes played their opponent this week – Snow College – tough in their first matchup of the season. Playing on a heated evening at Heritage Park, the Badgers earned a narrow 1-0 win over Southern Nevada. Snow has since gone 2-0-2, including a tie against league-leading Salt Lake Community College. The Badgers are coming off a tie against USU Eastern.
Saturday's match at Snow College is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. The Lady Coyotes will travel for two more matches next week before returning home to Heritage Park on Oct. 17.
