HENDERSON, Nev. (October 5, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team fell to a nationally-ranked league opponent on Saturday at the CSN Sports Center.
CSN suffered a 3-0 loss to No. 9 Salt Lake Community College, falling to 0-3 to start Scenic West play. The Lady Coyotes are now 4-13 overall.
Salt Lake played with considerable momentum from the get-go, taking a 5-1 lead early in the first set. The Lady Coyotes had many successful moments throughout the match but couldn't string enough together to mount a serious challenge towards the nationally-ranked Bruins.
Tylee Fuller led Southern Nevada with 8 kills, also contributing 5 digs.
Taurie Magee also had 5 kills.
Laityn Sarna had a team-high 17 assists in the loss and
Sierra Sullivan led the team with 9 digs.
Southern Nevada will travel next weekend to face nationally-ranked USU Eastern and then on to play at Colorado Northwestern Community College. The Lady Coyotes will return home on Oct. 31 to play CNCC in a 'Kids Day Costume Contest' match.
