HENDERSON, Nev. (October 31, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team suffered a disappointing defeat in its return home Thursday.
The Lady Coyotes fell to Colorado Northwestern Community College by a margin of 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-18, 9-15) in a Scenic West Athletic Conference match inside the CSN Sports Center. The loss drops CSN's overall record to 4-19 and 0-9 in Scenic West play.
In an up-and-down match, CSN and CNCC battled for supremacy and traded sets back-and-forth. In the final set, it was CNCC who was able to claw ahead for the final victory.
Individually,
Taurie Magee led CSN with 14 kills, while
Olivia Curtis contributed 12 kills and 12 digs.
Riley Froman finished the match with 10 kills.
Laityn Sarna had a team-high 21 assists.
Southern Nevada will play its final match of the regular season on Saturday inside the CSN Sports Center against USU Eastern. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. and will feature a 'White Out' promotion as part of 'Sophomore Day' festivities.
