HENDERSON, Nev. (November 2, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada volleyball team fell on 'Sophomore Day' to nationally-ranked USU Eastern in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Lady Coyotes suffered a 3-1 loss to USU Eastern, falling by set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 19-25, 7-25. The loss drops Southern Nevada to 4-20 overall and 0-10 in Scenic West play.
After a strong first set for CSN, USU Eastern recovered to take a strong run through the next three sets. USU Eastern's defense forced Southern Nevada into 24 hitting errors.
Olivia Curtis finished with 11 kills, while
Riley Froman had 10 kills.
Meredith Bautista had a team-high 15 assists and
Tylee Fuller led the Lady Coyotes with 21 digs.
Southern Nevada will play next on Friday at 10:00 a.m. against the No. 3 seed in the Region 18 tournament. The single-elimination tournament will be hosted by Snow College.
