HERRIMAN, Utah (November 3, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team had four players recognized on the All-Region 18 lists Friday, including an impressive individual honor.

CSN's Nohemi Mendoza was named the Region 18 Player-of-the-Year, thanks to an outstanding individual season that helped push CSN to a record of 12-4-1 and 6-3-1 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. Mendoza was a spark plug for the CSN Lady Coyotes all season, leading Southern Nevada with 17 goals and 9 assists on the season.

Without much surprise, Scenic West champion Salt Lake Community College was well-represented on the team, placing 6 student-athletes on the list. Snow College also placed 6 student-athletes on the region's annual recognition.

Individually, SLCC, Snow and Southern Nevada split the individual recognitions. Salt Lake coach Mark Davis was named as the Region 18 Coach-of-the-Year, Southern Nevada's Nohemi Mendoza was named Region 18 Player-of-the-Year, and Snow's Hailey Hillock was named Region 18 Goalie-of-the-Year.

Davis led Salt Lake to its second consecutive Scenic West title, claiming the crown with a 9-0-1 record in league play and an overall record of 11-0-1. The Bruins are ranked at No. 5 in the latest NJCAA polls. At goal, Hillock made 36 saves while allowing just 3 goals on the season. She helped lead Snow to a second-place finish in the league with a mark of 6-2-2.

The All-Region First Team honorees included 3 players from SLCC and Snow, respectively. The Salt Lake Community College players on the team are Hannah Lee, Cassidy Adams and Dominique Estrada; the Snow College honorees are Sydney Bushman, Mei Suetsugu and Rachael Hunt. Southern Nevada placed Brianna Martinez and Lianna Soifua on the list, while USU Eastern placed Madison Nicholls. Colorado Northwestern saw Sarrah Singer get recognized, while Truckee Meadows placed Shelby Shaffer on the team.

SLCC and Snow again placed a trio of players, each, on the All-Region 18 team. Salt Lake's honorees included Nikki Oliver, Callie Fisher and Baylie Saunders; Snow's mentions were Kimberly Martinez, Kylee Stevens and Kate Schirmer. Southern Nevada was represented by Veronica Edwards and Amanda Carducci, while USU Eastern's Ashley Brindley and Meg Edwards were recognized.
