HENDERSON, Nev. (July 5, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada had 22 student-athletes named as NJCAA All-Academic in a press release by the organization on Tuesday.

CSN had two student-athletes make the First Team and seven players make the Second Team. The Coyotes had 13 student-athletes named as All-Academic Third Team. These accomplishments come on top of CSN having three different teams named as NJCAA All-Academic teams earlier this week.

Both NJCAA All-Academic First Team mentions came from the Coyotes' baseball roster as both Jarrett Brooks and John Pineda made the top cut. In order to make the First Team, a student-athlete had to maintain a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA.

The All-Academic Second Team required a GPA between 3.80 and 3.99. The student-athletes making the Second Team list included: Brianna Martinez (women's soccer); Erick Martinez and Ramon Urias-Medina (men's soccer); Nicholas Hernandez, Roger Riley and Spencer Cofer (baseball) and Rachel Chambers (volleyball).

Southern Nevada had 13 student-athletes make the All-Academic Third Team, representing every CSN program. CSN softball had Alyssa Trujillo, Brianna Hernandez-Silva, Elise Bush and Patricia Galtieri get the nod. Trever Berg and Joshua Brown represented the baseball team while Maya Hill represented the volleyball program. Amanda Carducci, Gianna Faress, Jessica Carnahan and Olivia Meza represented the women's soccer program. Bruno Aleman and Eduardo Quintero were the men's soccer mentions. The NJCAA All-Academic Third Team consisted of student-athletes who had a GPA of 3.60-3.79.
