HENDERSON, Nev. (August 30, 2019) – Wins are wins and the College of Southern Nevada men's soccer team will take them in any form or fashion.
After showcasing strong offense throughout their first three matches of the 2019 season, the Coyotes earned a defensive win on Friday with a 1-0 double-overtime victory over Arizona Western College. The win helps CSN to a 4-0 record to begin the 2019 season.
In a match where both teams had multiple chances to earn victory, Southern Nevada's
Eduardo Quintero Rodriguez scored the golden goal in the 109
thminute of double-overtime soccer to give the Coyotes the victory. Arizona Western held an 8-1 advantage in shots in the first half, with CSN taking all 5 shots in the second half and scoring the defining goal in double-overtime.
Southern Nevada is scheduled to play on Tuesday, September 3 against Yavapai College, with match on Sept. 7 against Western Wyoming Community College.
